for Biotechnological Application
The biotechnology company BayGenetics is active in the area of the micro organism Bacillus subtilis (B. subtilis). Interesting application possiblities in the areas of protein synthesis and enzyme catalysts have already been identified.
Applications in molecular diagnostics and the development of vaccines are planned in the mid to long term.
Founded in April 2008, BayGenetics is a spin-off from Bayreuth University.
BayGenetics is winner of the 2008 BEST EXCELLENCE Businessplan competition.
